The Bugle Boy has teamed up with live streaming provider Concert Window and has begun webcasting performances.  Watching a concert online can never replace the experience of actually attending a Bugle Boy show but it is the next best thing.  On Sunday May 6th we streamed our first show and had folks tuning in from both out of state and out of country.  We hope to make many more friends and build a larger Bugle Boy fan base with this new outreach opportunity.

If you have been curious about the Bugle Boy or the amazing talent that perform in our concert hall, just log in and check us out.  Not all shows will be streamed but for the ones that are you can find a link labeled WATCH LIVE STREAM under the ticket price of each show list on our website at thebugleboy.org.  The webcast also makes a great alternative to seeing our sold out events.

LA GRANGE, TX., March 01, 2012– American Federation of Musicians Local 1000 has welcomed The Bugle Boy as the first Fair Trade music venue in Texas.

In keeping with its mission statement’s pledge to “elevate and sustain original live music,” on January 14, 2012 The Bugle Boy Foundation formally committed to the standards of Fair Trade Music. By doing so, performers both union and non-union are guaranteed minimum wage—a practice that Lane Gosnay, Founder of The Bugle Boy, says they have been voluntarily doing for years.

Gosnay says she is honored to be the first Fair Trade music venue in Texas. “We have always set our standards high for musicians and now, as part of the Fair Trade Network, we can expand our efforts– leading by example to make a difference in the independent music world. We do everything we can to help provide a future for the artists we love, and to ensure a continuation of the music that makes a difference in our lives.”
Since January 2005, The Bugle Boy has presented over 1,000 concerts, supporting independent musicians from across the country, crossing all genres of music. Recently, the venue’s entertainment has expanded to include popular guest speakers and film screenings by independent producers and directors.

“Investing in original music by fairly compensating performers is not an afterthought, but a business model that we hope will be embraced by all venues that hire musicians,” states Gosnay.
