On May 17th, Bugle Boy Founder Lane Gosnay announced Woody Russell as the 2013 Talent Trust Award Recipient. Russell is preceded by Elizabeth Wills (2009), Kat Edmonson (2011) and John Fullbright (2012) as Talent Trust recipients. Russell’s award was announced at the end of John Fullbright’s show on May 17th and when Russell, joined Grammy nominee Fullbright on stage for a spellbinding rendition of Van Morrison’s Crazy Love, the sold-out crowd was treated to collaboration so soulful that even the legendary “Van the Man” would have tipped his Fedora to the two.
