"A one-of-a-kind, intimate listening room makes singing at The Bugle Boy a rare treat in a world of idols and overblown pop. And I say: THANK GOD for it!"
Sara Hickman,
2010-2011 Official State Musician of Texas
"The Bugle Boy...the listening room we wish we could have in every town in America…a destination spot for music lovers, musicians of note."
Erika Luckett,
Academy and Emmy award nominee (FilmScores)
"If you enjoy live music, you’ll find an intriguing alternative…in a listening room called The Bugle Boy."
Texas Highways Magazine
"The cozy Fayette County venue is a house concert with a marquee, a back porch with a cover charge, hosting the intimacy of a living room on the U.S. 77 thoroughfare."
Austin American Statesman
"Your venue is just fantastic. The respect that is given to the artists and patrons is second to none. I will be back and will let others know of your place."
Rick Vidrine
"What a wonderful opportunity to experience musical artistry in an intimate setting. I felt like I was sitting in a private space with 50 of my friends, all of whom loved the music and were respectful to the artist. Bugle Boy is a great place to listen and be more deeply engaged with a musical group. We will be returning again and again."
Betsy Gerdeman,
Senior V.P./KLRU-TV, Austin PBS
The Bugle Boy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the activities of The Bugle Boy, an intimate concert hall founded in 2004 by Lane Gosnay in La Grange, Texas.
The Mission of the Bugle Boy Foundation is to provide a premier listening
room venue for affordable public performances by professional musicians of
original works of diverse genres, for the enrichment of Fayette County,
Texas residents and visitors. The Foundation supports music education by
sponsoring artist-led creative arts programs for the benefit of area
students.
When you buy a ticket to a performance, the artist receives at least 75% of the ticket price. As with every arts organization, ticket sales alone do not come close to providing all the funds needed to support programming. Simply put, the Bugle Boy Foundation relies on the generous support of Patron Donors.
Support quality musical performances even when you are unable to attend. Your contribution will help The Bugle Boy Foundation continue to present professional live concerts by both seasoned and aspiring artists of the highest caliber. With your help, we can also continue to expand our special projects. The Bugle Boy Foundation recognizes all financial supporters as Patron Donors. We honor our Patron Donors on longevity and commitment to the vision, regardless of the amount you donate (and remember - every donation is important!).
Sunday Music Matinee, a monthly series featuring three aspiring professional singer-songwriters.
The Bugle Boy Talent Trust, a program providing funding for studio CD production to selected artists.
Educational Programs For Students, a program bringing creative arts and music to rural Texas schools.
Independent Film Series, screening select independent films for rural audiences.

Together we will help lead the way for others. We are building a model and proving that performing singer/songwriters deserve respect, patronage, and as much recognition as other fine artists. The larger our listening audiences grow, the more demand there will be for similar venues, ensuring quality performance spaces for artists to present their music to more audiences. As like-minded people who believe in the essence of building community through music, we will make an indelible mark, not only in Texas, but across our country.
